Hello! I’m Betty
I’m a Design Editor at the Washington Post overseeing digital storytelling and art direction for Politics, Climate, Tech and Health & Science. During the 2024 presidential cycle, I was in charge of managing walk-up coverage and live Election Day stories with deep coordination with all visual leaders. Prior to design editing, I served as the Special Sections Visual Editor leading the creative strategy for large, themed digital packages. I joined the Post in 2021 as a designer focused on developing reader experiences for digital and print.
Before joining the Post, I designed pages for the Los Angeles Times, USA Today’s Nashville Design Studio and the Southern California News Group.
I’m originally from Los Angeles, the land of pan dulce and palm trees.
